Romie collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, profile photo, and any other details you choose to share. We also collect device information such as browser type, operating system, and usage data when you interact with the app. If you are a guest at a partnered hostel, we may collect and store information related to your booking, check-in, and check-out dates.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes managing your account, enabling communication with hostel staff and other guests, sending you relevant notifications about events and bookings, and ensuring the security and integrity of our platform. We may also use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances: with hostel partners where you have an active booking, with our service providers who assist us in operating the app (such as cloud storage and authentication services), and when required by law or to protect our legal rights. Any third party with whom we share data is contractually obligated to protect it in a manner consistent with this policy.
We retain your personal information for as long as you have an active account or as needed to provide you services. Following account deletion or a request for data removal, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being permanently erased.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through the app settings or by contacting us directly. You may also request a copy of your data in a portable format.
